About Itzik
I was born in Eilat, the southernmost city in Israel. I fell in love with photography at 18, after leaving Eilat and the desert for northern Israel during my army service. The green landscapes and abundant wildlife made me want to preserve those moments, so I picked up my first camera, a Pentax film camera, and began photographing the natural world.
Today my work spans landscape, night, and flora photography, with a special focus on birds. I took first place in the 2014 Planet Arava competition, serve as the photography curator of La Biennale Eilat, and for five years guided photographers through Eilat's photography club.
